"Hi" says Ms. Forte "I have neglected my blog sadly and I am sorry. There are buds on the trees and the birds and bugs are back, spring is drawing ever nearer!! I am glad because I am thoroughly sick of the dead landscape, and we have only gotten one snow!

                                                               Poems of the Week

    “Sea Fever” — John Masefield (1902)

I must go down to the seas again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel’s kick and the wind’s song and the white sail’s shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea’s face, and a grey dawn breaking.

Dawn ( unknown author)

An angel, robed in spotless white,
Bent down and kissed the sleeping Night.
Night woke to blush; the sprite was gone.
Men saw the blush and called it Dawn.
