"Old Man Winter finished packing his bags today!" Ms. Forte chuckles gleefully. "Ms. Spring is being quite severe and chilly in manner currently, but she is here! The grass is growing, and one of our plants has recovered color. The sky is clear of clouds, and instead of snow and sleet we get blessed rain and sunshine. 

Even better, Mr. Andes is going to set the trampoline back up, and we are going to the wild west to see Ms. Pretz's brother get baptized, best week ever!!!!!!!😁

Old Man Winter Departs :
Old Man Winter gathers his breath,
His icy fingers lose their grip,
He folds his frost and tucks it tight,
As daylight stretches, stealing night.

His coat of snow, now worn and thin
says goodbye, to being the sovereign.
The winds that howled with ancient might,
Are softer now as he takes flight.

He bids farewell to trees so bare,
to icy ponds and frozen air,
The stars above no longer gleam, 
for spring is stirring from it's dream.
 
With a final sigh he lifts his pack,
snowflakes melting, the sun is back,
The ground begins to wake, to thaw,
the birds come back and begin to caw

He leaves behind a trail of white,
And knows that warmth will soon ignite 
He bows, his figure pale and tall
And whispers "spring, come take it all."

We long to go to the pool, but they are closed despite the hot weather. We shall soon die!!

We long for the snow capped peaks of the north, but instead we get dust and despair. 😢

Andes Day

                                                                 Weekly Report "Good gracious!" says Ms. Forte. "I have neglected writing! Shame on me! Well.... it's not all my fault. Mrs. Andes is partly responsible.  Anyway, are you ready to hear the news? Mr. Chompy has taken his first steps! He has officially graduated from crawling. He only crawls when it's absolutely necessary. He's a big boy!!!! Andes day occurred yesterday, and we ate IHOP's signature pancakes and butter pecan syrup. We do it every year in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Andes' engagement. I look forward to it because we only do it once a year. Peaches and Cream and Earaches

Weekly Report "Hello!" says Ms. Forte. The week just blazed by, didn't it? I cannot wait to tell you our news. Mr. Andes bought baby chickens! They will be white once they have their adult feathers. Ms. Deeda named hers Judy and I named mine Barbara (Barb). They are currently a buttermilk color and are so fluffy you cant feel them. There's just one downside, where they should be softly singing the average quiet "cheep cheep" they are screaming a non-describable sort of chicken noise at full volume. I had to put on ear muffs to drown out the sound, and then, "CHEEEEEP CHEEEEP! Oh the earache!!! 🐤 Ms. Deeda's Remarks "I love being Aurora on Halloween," says Ms. Deeda.  "I love going to bed at night time!
